OEM DISPLAY INTERCONNECTS

Custom DVI Cables

Drawing-based DVI cable assemblies for industrial displays, embedded equipment and legacy video systems. Define the interface, routing and acceptance requirements around your equipment.

  • DVI-D and DVI-I interface review
  • Length, connector exit and shielding customization
  • Prototype approval before production

DVI Assemblies Built Around Your Equipment

Xinshao supports custom cable assembly development from drawings, samples and BOMs. For DVI projects, start with the source and display interfaces, then define the cable construction and mechanical fit.

A connector shape alone does not establish compatibility. DVI-D carries digital signals; DVI-I can provide digital and analog paths when the connected equipment supports them. Single-link and dual-link requirements must be specified explicitly. The configurations below are RFQ directions, with final feasibility subject to drawing and component review.

Explore Custom DVI Cable Configurations

DVI-D Single-Link Cables

Specify digital-only connections, mating connector gender and the required display timing.

dvi-d-dual-link-custom

DVI-D Dual-Link Cables

Define dual-link wiring with the source, display and required timing before sample approval.

dvi-i-custom-cable

DVI-I Cable Assemblies

Review digital and analog circuit requirements against the exact equipment interfaces.

right-angle-dvi-custom

Right-Angle DVI Cables

Confirm exit direction, backshell clearance and thumbscrew access from an enclosure drawing.

panel-mount-dvi-custom

Panel-Mount DVI Extensions

Specify male-to-female connections, flange position and mounting dimensions for enclosure integration.

dvi-breakout-custom

DVI Breakout Assemblies

Develop drawing-based terminations with an approved pin map, shield treatment and destination connector.

6 Configuration Options

A Clearer Basis for OEM Sourcing

01

Interface Review

Align signal type, link wiring, gender and connector mating before procurement.

02

Mechanical Fit

Review cable exit direction, connector envelope and screw access in your enclosure.

03

Controlled Revisions

Agree the BOM, pin map, approved alternatives and labeling for repeat orders.

04

Defined Acceptance

Plan continuity checks and application validation against the approved specification.

Evaluate the Assembly Beyond the Connector

Send equipment interface references, target resolution and refresh rate, cable length and routing conditions. Cable losses and the source/display combination affect the usable signal margin; a universal maximum length or resolution is not assumed.

For supplier review, request the proposed BOM, drawing revision, inspection plan and sample validation criteria. A passive DVI-D cable cannot convert a digital signal into VGA analog video. Conversion requirements need a separate architecture review.

Specify Length, Cable Exit and Pin Mapping

dvi-length-customization
dvi-connector-customization

Define overall length and measurement points, tolerance, cable diameter, connector gender, exit direction, backshell size and retention hardware. Include installation photos or an enclosure drawing when clearance is limited.

Specify single-link or dual-link wiring and any required analog paths, DDC/EDID connections, shield continuity and chassis grounding. A populated connector does not by itself confirm the circuits used by the equipment.

For moving installations, supply bend radius, travel, duty cycle and service environment. Jacket choice and flex validation require a project-specific assessment.

dvi-shielding-materials

Cable Construction & Shielding

Review conductor construction, pair geometry, foil/braid coverage, drain arrangement, jacket and connector shell termination as a complete assembly.

  • Provide electrical and environmental requirements
  • Confirm connector part numbers and approved substitutions
  • Define ferrites only where the system design requires them
dvi-inspection-planning

Inspection & System Validation

Agree workmanship and electrical acceptance before manufacture. Basic wiring checks do not establish video performance at the required timing.

  • Pin-to-pin continuity, shorts and mechanical dimensions
  • Shield connection and retention checks as specified
  • Video validation with the intended source/display and cable routing
  • FAI and compliance documentation scope agreed per project

Support for Equipment and Sourcing Teams

dvi-equipment-oem

Industrial Display & Equipment OEMs

Review fixed display links for control cabinets, embedded systems and existing DVI platforms. Define service access, retention and enclosure constraints.

dvi-procurement-review

Engineering & Procurement Teams

Coordinate drawings, material availability, annual demand and revision control. Evaluate replacement parts against an approved sample rather than connector appearance alone.

Custom DVI Cable Procurement Guide

Resolve compatibility and validation requirements before placing a production order.

Provide drawings, source/display model or interface specifications, connector part numbers and gender, link type, pin map, length and tolerance, target timing, sample quantity, production quantity, annual demand and delivery destination. Send available information first; open requirements can be resolved during review.
DVI-D has no analog video path. A passive cable cannot perform digital-to-analog conversion. Review an appropriate active converter when the source and display use different signal types.
No. Dual-link wiring is only one part of the connection. Actual operation depends on timing, source and display capabilities, cable construction and length. Validate the complete system at the intended settings.
Submit the mating interface, exit direction, mounting dimensions and available envelope. Component availability and mechanical feasibility must be reviewed before an assembly is approved.
Confirm requirements and BOM, review manufacturability and materials, build samples, validate fit and video operation, then approve the drawing and acceptance plan for production. Lead time depends on parts availability, quantity and validation scope.
Request the approved drawing, BOM, sample acceptance records, inspection scope and any required material compliance documents. Certification and product compliance claims must match the specific components and application.
