XINSHAO OEM CABLE ASSEMBLY SERVICES

Molex Cable Assemblies

Custom cable assemblies built around your specified Molex connectors, pinout and installation requirements. Send a drawing, BOM or sample for a manufacturing review.

  • Exact housing and terminal part-number review
  • Custom lengths, branches, wire colors and labels
  • Prototype approval through production planning

Custom Assemblies for Your Molex Connector Design

Xinshao supports OEM cable and wire harness projects using customer-specified connector components. We review the mating interface, cable construction and assembly drawing together so that purchasing and engineering work from the same approved configuration.

Molex is a connector brand, not a single interchangeable interface. Specify the complete housing, terminal and mating-part numbers. Genuine components and proposed alternatives are quoted separately; substitutions require your approval.

Molex Cable Assembly Configurations

molex-wire-to-board-assembly

Wire-to-Board Cable Assemblies

Specify the board header mating part, cavity count and pin assignment before selecting the cable-side housing and terminals.

molex-wire-to-wire-assembly

Wire-to-Wire Cable Assemblies

Connect equipment subassemblies with an agreed mating pair, latch orientation and end-to-end wiring schedule.

molex-power-cable-assembly

Power Cable Assemblies

Define continuous and peak load, ambient temperature, wire size and populated circuits for a project-specific review.

molex-signal-cable-assembly

Signal Cable Assemblies

Route control and sensor signals with a confirmed circuit map, wire colors and any required twist or shielding.

molex-branched-wire-harness

Branched Wire Harnesses

Combine multiple cable legs around fixed branch points, mounting locations and service access requirements.

molex-panel-integration-cable

Panel Integration Cables

Coordinate connector access, panel clearances, cable protection and strain relief with the equipment enclosure.

6 Configuration Types

Make the Specification Easier to Purchase

01

Controlled Components

Confirm housing, terminal, plating and approved sourcing requirements before ordering materials.

02

Drawing-Based Builds

Set pinouts, cable lengths, branch locations and revision status in one assembly drawing.

03

Application Review

Review current, space, vibration and cable support against the selected components.

04

Agreed Acceptance

Define inspection, electrical tests and reporting requirements for the specific build.

Evaluate the Complete Connection

A connector family name or photograph is not enough to release a production order. Confirm terminal compatibility with the conductor and insulation, the mating interface and the applicable application specification.

Agree component sourcing, tooling suitability, inspection records and change control before sample manufacture. Connector catalog ratings alone do not establish the rating of a finished cable assembly.

Customize Pinouts, Cable Lengths and Branches

molex-custom-pinout-harness
molex-routing-and-branches

Define each cavity by connector reference and viewing direction. Include wire colors, circuit identification, unused cavities and any splice details. A clear pinout prevents mirrored connector views from becoming wiring errors.

Specify the measurement datum for overall length and branch positions, plus tolerances and installed bend conditions. Leave room for latch access and support the cable so pulling loads do not act directly on the terminals.

For incomplete designs, send available drawings or a sample. Open points are resolved during review before the assembly revision is approved.

molex-wire-and-terminal-selection

Wire, Housing and Terminal Selection

Component selection starts with exact part numbers and the operating conditions of your equipment.

  • Housing and mating part; circuit count, keying and latch orientation
  • Terminal part number, plating, conductor size and insulation diameter
  • Wire construction, jacket, routing, labels and approved alternatives
molex-crimp-inspection-planning

Crimping and Acceptance Planning

Review application specifications and suitable tooling for the chosen terminal and wire combination. Agree inspection coverage and evidence with the sample release.

  • Wire preparation, crimp condition and terminal insertion checks
  • Pinout, continuity and short-circuit checks to the approved wiring schedule
  • Pull testing, crimp measurements and additional electrical tests as agreed

From RFQ to Approved Production

1. Review inputs. Submit the drawing revision, BOM, connector part numbers, quantities and destination. Identify missing parts or tooling requirements before committing to a schedule.

2. Confirm a sample. Agree material sourcing, tolerances, inspection criteria and any first-article records. Review fit, routing and electrical connections in your equipment before approving production.

3. Control repeat orders. Release against the approved revision and agreed acceptance plan. Confirm component availability and lead time for each order; material availability, tooling and validation can change both cost and schedule.

Molex Cable Assemblies: OEM Buyer Questions

Resolve component, wiring and acceptance details before releasing an order.

Send housing and terminal part numbers, mating parts, pinout, wire specification, length and tolerances, order quantity, annual demand and delivery destination. Include test and documentation requirements. We can review incomplete inputs before a formal production specification is released.
A sample or photograph can support an initial review, but exact part-number identification and mating checks are needed before procurement. Similar appearance does not establish interchangeability.
Yes. Specify genuine components in your BOM when required. Any proposed alternative must be identified separately and approved before use; compatibility and acceptance require project-specific review.
The finished assembly must be reviewed for its wire size, number of loaded circuits, ambient conditions, routing and allowable temperature rise. Use the selected component documentation and validate the assembly for its actual operating conditions.
Agree the wiring schedule, electrical checks and visual acceptance criteria before production. Request first-article reporting, crimp measurements, pull testing or additional validation when required. Coverage and documentation are confirmed for the project.
Connector availability, terminal tooling, material specification, order quantity, setup effort and validation requirements all affect the quotation. Lead times are confirmed after review rather than inferred from a connector family name.
